Hello all SIAP members:
I am very grateful to serve SIAP and its members in year 2008 as
president. I am also very pleased for all your supports and input
that make this society still standing and working for our community.
Hereby, I also want to thank Mr. Bijan Armanpour for all of his effort in 2007
as President of our society. He did great deal of work preparing more
than 10 social and educational events during last year. He helped
different SIAP committees to shape up or become more active. One of them
was SIAP Educational Committee to reshape itself and attracted more members
for preparing for ARE examination. Under direct supervision of Mr.
Armandpour, Research Committee was also did some architectural research and
its result was 2 valuable presentations by Him and Mr. Shokoufandeh.
My plan for this year; besides activities of other committees, is as
followings:
-To increase and expand SIAP
website to bring more traffic to our website and have more exposure through
architectural communities worldwide.
- To Publish SIAP
Magazine twice a year.
- To create a
database of all Iranian architects and their firms worldwide.
- To arrange interviews with Iranian or non-Iranian Architects for SIAP
Website or Magazine publication and invite them for our seminars.
I hope, I could follow the footsteps of all previous SIAP presidents and make
our society a better and more active place for our members and those who will
join us in future.
