The Following is the Minutes of SIAP Board of Directors meeting on 05/01/2008

Nowruz Party report:

Hashem reported that total of 170 guest were at the party and the cost break down was presented by him.

Membership and Events:

Abdi comments to expand SIAP membership beyond its borders and find new members for SIAP and present to them their interests to become mebmers.  Pooya suggests that we invite license architects to ARE classes to show how they approached toward their licensing experience.

Everybody agreed to have SIAP events emailed to KIRN670 and Iranian.com.

Green Theme for 2008:

Abdi suggest that SIAP become a LEED leader for study and research this year.  A research committee to research and review a LEED certified building to present at a SIAP event.

Tentative SIAP future Events Schedule:

SIAP Architectural Competition:

Majid offered that he may ask one of his clients to contribute a prize to have a beach front house design being offered through a Competition.  Everybody agreed to have this competition with a fair market value for the offered prize by the contributor.

At the end, per Mr. Shahinfar proposal, President of Iranian society of Architect inside Iran, Joint membership with the same society in Iran was unanimously rejected, but cooperation with such society or similar ones were encouraged.
