The Following is the Minutes of SIAP Board of Directors meeting on 02/07/2008

Date: Thursday, February 7, 2008

Nowruz Party

Iraj Has visited 4 locations for Nowruz party; Shiendlet's House, House of Blues,  Getty Center and Skirball Center.  Among them Skirball center looked more promising for SIAP Nowruz party both time and pricewise.  He will follow up on that for Party on Saturday march 29th, 2008. There will be a DJ and also an additional live Persian classical dance or Music.  

Tickets will be $75.00 each for estimated 150 people.  50% of tickets should be pre-sale-ed to secure deposit for the location 2 weeks in advance.

Board members will also pursue some companies or affiliates for sponsorship.  Majid will setup Paypals for sales of tickets over internet.

Election 2008:

Iraj suggested to change by laws for terms of service for all board members for 2 years maximum.  Also President and Vice president will be elected at the same time. Also each candidate should present a plan for their term of service.  Iraj proposed people should vote to a plan rather than a person.

Abdi suggest that only CA licensed architects would be eligible for SIAP presidency.

Majid suggest that besides Iranian architect, SIAP invites other group of architects to join SIAP and it does not limit itself to only Iranian architects and planners.

All board members can vote to these items if 3 SIAP members are initially agreed to any of those items prior to General assembly night dated 2/21/2008
