Nowruz Party Cancellation for April 7, 2007
THIS MORNING MR. BIJAN ARMANDPOUR CALLED ALMOST EVERY INDIVIDUAL THAT HAD RECEIVED OUR FLYER FOR THE NOWRUZ PARTY. UNFORTUNATELY, MOST PEOPLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE PARTY INCLUDING SOME OF THE BOARD MEMBERS. WE HAVE A MIN. COMMITMENT OF 120 PEOPLE. We HAVE DISCUSSED THE MATTER WITH OUR BOARD MEMBERS AND HAVE DECIDE TO CANCEL THE EVENT.
Accepted by immediate present Board Members and Majid Falamaki on the phone.
This email was sent out to SIAP members prior to cancellation dated 03/30/2007:
"Dear
Members,
We are running out of time for preparations for Nowruz Party. As you recall, we
have had a great difficulty to collect the ticket payments at the door. The
Board has decided to sell the tickets and collect the money prior to the event.
Those of you who have not bought the tickets yet, should contact my office and
do so soon. We have to know the count by Monday afternoon, April 2, 2007. the
minimum commitment for Olympic Collection is 120 people. I regret to inform you
that if we do not reach that number, we have to cancel our party and possibly
forfeit our deposit. Please contact our office."
