The following are the minutes of the SIAP Board of Directors meeting on 6/7/01

The following items were discussed:
23.1 $850.00 Charge by M. Moayery for Completing Mailing List
Future Updating of the Mailing List
- This amount was for 85 hours of work done by Moayery and his secretary
inputting 270 names to the list
- Although the Board had not anticipated this amount, or any amount, it was
suggested to pay Moayery his requested fee
- In order to save, Board members will distribute the list among themselves
for completing the missing info (mailing address, phone #, email)
- Inputting the future data to be done for a fee (details not finalized)
- Mailing a yearly update form (including detailed data) was suggested
23.2 June Event
- June event 6/28: "Exterior Architectural Systems" by Centria-manufacturer
of Metal cladding sytems
Dinner will be provided by Centria
Bijan in charge of producing the flyer
Flyer to be mailed to everybody on the mailing list-some not practicing
architecture-except for those living outside US
A blurb about the seminar to be added to the flyers
23.3 Fund-raising
- Bijan to verify possibility of turning the August event of "Lighting in
Architecture", by DMF Lighting, into a fund-raiser on a boat and on a
weekend
23.4 Italian Exhibition
- M. Borghei to contact Iraj Kalantari to pursue the issue in Iran
23.5 Use of Murals in Architecture
- Proposed by Parviz Rasouli (previous member) through Iraj: "Allocation
of 1% City of LA Tax on Art to Murals" to be the subject of a seminar
provided by Rasouli
- Consideration of the seminar as a promotion for Rasouli was suggested by
Board members
