The following are the minutes of the SIAP Board of Directors:

The following items were discussed:

• Borghei to meet with Iraj Kalantari in Tehran and to request for Kamran Safamanesh as the contact person. Details of the exhibition to be further discussed in Tehran.

• Smaller crowd works better for our parties
• This year’s party was altogether nicer and more homogenous than last year’s
• Exhibition changed the atmosphere and was a successful idea, so were the sponsors’ presentations

• Price was high-due to open bar-
• Some people thought open bar was a great idea, some thought it was waste of their money since they didn’t use it. Compromise to be wine provided by SIAP
• Parties are already too repetitive; need to look for new locations and formats, Zhila and Gharavi to pursue new locations, Bijan to contact Rahbar for new locations, others to make suggestions
• Hold parties more often; Mehregan is coming up in October
• Objection to more parties: more frequent parties prevent members from concentrating on other issues. No vote taken on the matter

• Mahmood Gharachedaghi was suggested for June event to discuss his sustainable approach in designing two libraries, ruled out by the Board as too repetitive

• Visiting the A+D Museum was suggested, no vote on that

• Kemal to pursue the idea and work on details
• Bijan to check Society of American Registered Architects for their guidelines on holding competitions

• Borghei was not able to discuss it with the Radio’s principal, Gharavi to pursue it.

Next meeting to be held on May 9^th, same place.
