Mr. Borghei is Managing principal and founder of Syntech Construction, Inc. Syntech Construction, Inc. was established in 1997 as a full service design, construction and development company.

Houshang M. Borghei is a California licensed architect as well as California licensed general contractor. He has his masters degree in architecture and B.S. in civil engineering.

Before forming Syntech Construction, Inc., he was director of component design at Pearce Systems International, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of space frame structural systems. He managed a team of fifteen engineers and designers for a firm that specializes in    the design, engineering, and manufacturing of space frame structural systems. Responsible for the design of structural members and cladding systems, completion of shop drawings for manufacturing and erection drawings, site coordination, review of material certificates to specifications, and prototyping of various segments of the structures using computer 3d modeling or actual members.

Mr. Borghei was involved with major projects at Pearce Systems International. The Fremont Street Experience Project, Las Vegas, NV    1995. Project involved the use of a vault supported by columns covering four blocks of Fremont Street, transforming it into a pedestrian street mall. Overall plan dimensions of the space frame are 1,100 feet in length, 100 feet width and a total surface area of 152,000 square feet. Navy Pier Reconstruction Project, Chicago, IL 1993 Project comprised of two separate structures located on Navy Pier:  Festival Hall (853 ft. by 205 ft.) which can be described as three intersecting barrel vaults with a primary 831 ft. longitudinal vault intersected by three 227 ft. transverse vaults and Family Pavilion (372 ft. by 124 ft.) which is comprised of three distinct, but   contiguous, structural zones. These include the Wintergarden, Children’s Museum and Imax Theater.
