The following are the minutes of the SIAP Board of Director’s meeting:

1. Norouz Party:

Mohammad Gharavi discussed the availability of Olympic Collection for the Norouz party. After discussing the available days, it was decided to hold the party on April 12, 2003.

The idea of showing the work of the members during the party in the form of slide or video was discussed and some suggestions were made. The event committee will look into this matter further.

2. Radio Program and Architectural forum:

Ashraf has contacted 670-AM Radio Iran for the purchase of two one-hour program. It was decided to purchase the first program on April 26^th and second program on May 24^th. The time for these programs shall be on Saturdays and as close to 6 pm as possible.

Ashraf shall get the commitment from the radio station and transmit the result to Mohammad Reza.

The Architectural Forum shall be held on May 15^th at MGM.

3. Public Relations Committee:

 This committee shall develop topics of discussion to be aired on the radio program. The committee shall recommend these topics and suggest members to conduct them to the board for approval.

4. Hossein Omoumi’s Meeting Assessment:

It was agreed that the meeting was overall successful. The factors that made the meeting successful, such as the number in attendance, was analyzed and it was determined that the advertising campaign for the program contributed to its success.

The Public Relations Committee shall develop and recommend an advertising budget for future gatherings.

It was suggested that the Membership Committee use opportunities such as this meeting to promote SIAP and increase membership.

5. Website Update:

 Mohammad Gharavi shall cooperate with Majid to establish the architectural detail services of the site.

6. Treasurer’s Position:

Farshad has decided to stay as a board member and resume his responsibilities as the treasurer.

7. Next Board Meeting:

Next meeting is scheduled for March 6, 2003 at 7:00 pm at MGM
