Meeting No. 22
The following are the minutes of the SIAP Board of Director’s meeting:

Date: 1-9-03 7:00 PM
Location: MGM Community Room,

Present:

Agenda:
1- SIAP Norouz Party
2- The Committees’ Progress and Schedules
3- Farshad Azarnoosh’s resignation and selection of a new treasure

The following items were discussed:

1. The resignation of Farshad from the post of treasurer was discussed and accepted by the board. Election of a new treasurer was postponed until the next board meeting due to Zhila Yadidsion’s absence.
2. The location of Norouz party was discussed and it was decided to hold the party at Olympic Collection. The decision is to be transmitted to the event committee so they would take appropriate action.
3. Future goals and activities were discussed by Iraj and elaborated on by others.
4. The exposure of SIAP, its activities, and what this organization can provide to the Iranian community was discussed in detail. The following two alternatives were evaluated:
1. To buy time on the radio for discussion and public forum.
2. With prior advertising in the Iranian media, hold public meetings at MGM to answer design, development, and construction questions of the public.

The Board decided to implement the public meeting alternative. Hashem volunteered to spearhead this project. He will present his recommendations to the board in their next meeting.

5. Next meeting is scheduled for January 23, 2003 at 7:00 PM at MGM. Your attendance would be most helpful.
