SIAP Board Meeting No. 48

The following are the minutes of the regular meeting.

Items reviewed and discussed

Old Business:
1-Budget for SIAP monthly advertisement:

-MM stated that he had not yet found an appropriate periodic publication for SIAP regular advertisement.
-IYE believes Radio Iran 670AM and "24HRS" Radio are good sources for advertisement, which may have no cost for SIAP.
-Everyone should look for alternative public media options and appropriate publications to be proposed in board meeting for considerations.
 
2-MM to send e-mail to all SIAP present and previous members for the July 8th "Members only meeting". HM is in charge of reception for the meeting.

New Business:
1-Mehrdad Farivar, FAIA confirmed to be SIAP speaker as scheduled for the month of July.
2-MRB gave a brief report regarding SIAP communications with LATimes and Radio Iran 670AM concerning the "Iranian Palaces in Beverly Hills".  LA Times would publish SIAP respond letter in its July 11th issue.  Mr. Hejazi from Radio Iran would like to arrange for a panel to discuss the issue.
3-It was agreed that SIAP to arrange for a panel to discuss the "Beverly Hills Architecture" issue as SIAP August event:  MRB and IYE to follow up for the date and possible participants or panelists.
