The followings are the minutes of the SIAP Board of Director's meeting No.
45:

MRB chaired the meeting and M. M volunteered to prepare the minutes:
Prior to Agenda:
HM discussed three items:
1- He reported collection of $122.00 from the visitors in MOCA visit on Jan. 24, 2004. He will deposite the money to SIAP account or deliver it to the treasurer.
2- SIAP Tel. lines is not working. After some discussion, MM volunteered to get in touch with E. Allaee and ask him to contact the phone company and replace the SIAP tax ID # with his SS# Currently on file.
3- SIAP documents are spread out. MRB asked IYE to look for some original documents that might be in his possession from the days SIAP got established. It was decided that SIAP secretary be custodian of the daily documents. President will keep the original document and passes them to the President Elect at the end of his/her term.

1-SIAP upcoming Events
1.1. February Public Meetingon Thu. 2/26/2004
MRB reported that his contact with Manouchehr Eslami was unsuccessful. MM suggested Board to come up with an alternative to secure a lecturer for our monthly event. IYE stated that he could prepare himself to give a presentation about one of his architectural projects. Everybody agreed. Board set the 2/9/2004 deadline to finalize the speaker and asked MRB to coordinate the issue so that the event’s flyer go out in a timely manner.
1.2. March no-Ruz Party on Thu. 3/25/2004
SH.SH. reported about convention center (CC) and the quality of the services we will get. He believed $30.00 /PP will be sufficient for a very decent food. The location is big enough for at least 300 guests, in addition to an exhibition of architectural or painting works. He added that while everything looks & sounds great, there is no commitment yet. Board asked Sh. Sh. to finalize the detail with CC so that $ 65.00 ticket price by SIAP will secure its 10-15% profit and parking charges.
Deadline to make the final decision was set for 2/12/04. IYE will talk to E. Pacific Arts Center regarding availability of a dance group.
Board showed concern about advertising the event early through media. A flyer should be prepared ASAP.
2-Bam Earthquake related issues,
MM reported the amount of contribution. He just received two checks expecting more to come. He will finalize the matter by 2/9/2004 and prepare a report.
MG is in contact with F. Bekhrad and F. Sabouri in the east coast. Reportedly, these individuals are involved in post disaster renovation studies and activities. He will stay in contact with them and keep the board posted. MRB reported about his contacts with architectural consulting firms in Tehran who are involved in the post earthquake work in Bam. IYE suggested board to collect info. about earthquake in other but similar countries and send them to Iran. HM suggested and board approved to assign the matter to a task force. MRB will lead the team consisting of IYE, MG, and other interested members.
Sima suggested to use the media to convey the result of our work to the public. MG suggest to work closely with consulting firms in Iran by providing Architectural and Planning solutions to the issues in hand.
3-Rule of the board in 2003
Board approved to follow the 2003 rule of the Board for 2004 absent any new suggestion(s). Proper modification(s) will be incorporated when necessary.
4-Budget for SIAP Website
Board ran out of time. This item will be discussed in the next meeting.
