Agenda: 
1-Continue with the SIAP next year's plan.
2-Nowrooz Party

MM chaired the meeting and MRB volunteered to prepare the minutes.

1- SIAP next year's plan

1.1-Board will consider new locations for SIAP monthly meeting including suggested Westside Pavilion. MRB to follow up.

1.2-First field trip to MOCA suggested by Hashem was agreed upon. Event committee to follow up.

1.3-MM reported status of SIAP membership and projection for the future.  He called for more efforts to gather new members through advertisements, expansion of mailing lists etc.  He stated that a "goal setting" to be considered to include the following topics:

-website improvements, membership links.
-more public exposure of the SIAP activities.
-through a "structure of meeting", SIAP news, activities and accomplishments to be heard in the SIAP monthly events.
-role of SIAP affiliate members in SIAP.
-exchange and share of experience among SIAP members.
-budgeting of the SIAP committees and activities.

Money should be spent in effective manners and in variety of activities and programs.
-consistency in the monthly events is very essential in the SIAP goals and its public exposure.

1.4-IYE suggested four areas to be concentrated upon for next year:
-to increase SIAP members list.
-to generate variety of architectural relatedactivities.
-to improve SIAP website.
-to set budgets for SIAP programs and activities.

2- Nowrooz Party

2.1-AH presented the Board with initial report prepared by "Nowrooz committee".

2.2-Proposed options were evaluated and L.A. convention center was considered to be an appropriate option for the upcoming Nowrooz
party.  AH will follow up and report to the Board accordingly.

Next Board meeting: December 30, 2003 (location to be announced).
